Earl started reading books many eons ago. He liked reading so much that he invented a way to find the best books. Searching the world from Ocean to Ocean, Earl found the most spectacular books and offered them to your teachers at your school for a great price. Earl also invented a way to give free books to your school’s library when the teachers bought books from him. Earl's idea provided many new books for you to read and enjoy for free!
Throughout time, Earl’s great ideas have provided millions of books across America to help fill up libraries, teachers classrooms and even found their way into your hands! Do you realize how big of a pile one million books would be and how long that would take to read? Well thank goodness there are so many kids that just love to read, and thank goodness for Earl!
Some kids ask about Earl being a dinosaur. Well here’s the secret kids; Many moons ago Earl created the entire book display business where he comes into your school about once per month with the latest and greatest new books so this makes Earl pretty wise and a best friend of your school. He has been around since the beginning of time.
As you can see, Earl is kind of shy behind his freckles, but his smile tells otherwise. He is very jolly and loves to roll around in laughter with friends. He is so smart that he could tell you about any book in the world. Mysteriously, he can tell which books are going to be the best even before they are read by anyone! Now that is a cool trick!
He has many powers of knowledge still unknown to most people today. Some people say he can even make his books float up near his eyes so he can read without moving his arms, just realaxing and reading. "I wish I could do that".
When Earl doesn't get to read he becomes a little sick and his color starts to change to green. All he needs is a good book to help him through his tough times and change back into his blue self.
Earl is probably the friendliest blue dinosaur in the whole world. I have seen many people gather around him to hear him tell jokes. He can’t run very fast but he always finishes what he starts and always wins by doing his best. His honesty is his most sacred principle. With honesty comes a friend, with friends comes belief, with belief you can accomplish anything. Even reading a 400 page book!
Look at Earl’s wings. They are small, but strong enough to take him places he always dreamed of going. He used his most important tool to be everything in the world. Do you know what Earl’s most important tool is? It is his IMAGINATION. With Imagination you can do whatever you set your mind to. So pack your books kids and take yourself on a journey through your mind reading a great book!
